What to Expect When Visiting Beijing, China, China

Itinerary
Day 1: Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple,Tian’anmen Square and Forbidden City (L)
Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
Your private guide and driver will pick you up at 8:30am in your hotel lobby. Visit the Temple of Heaven (built in 1420), the largest building for religious worship in China. Walk along the area and besides learning the history from your tour guide, you will also see many locals play Taichi, sign songs, or dance here. It’s now a very popular place particularly for Beijing’s seniors. If you like, you are very welcome to join them.

Stop At: Lama Temple (Yonghegong), No.12 Yonghegong Street, Beixinqiao, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100007 China
Then you will visit the largest lamasery in Beijing where two famous Qing emperors came from, Lama Temple. It was built in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) as the residence of the Emperor Yongzheng (the third emperor of Qing Dynasty) before he ascended the throne. In the year 1744, the residence was completely converted into a lamasery.

After enjoy a nice local lunch, head to Tiananmen Square, which is located in the centre of Beijing. It encompassed 108.7 acres,880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west, big enough to hold a half million people. Accompanied by your guide, wonder around and you will see the Mao Zedong’s Mausoleum where his body is preserved, the Monument to the People’s Heroes and the Great Hall of People, etc.

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
Then follow your guide to the Forbidden City, which is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest palace with 9,999.5 rooms. The splendid architecture of the Forbidden City represents the essence and culmination of traditional Chinese architectural accomplishment. You will visit the buildings opened to public, learn the history and listen interesting stories from your guide, admire the amazing architectures.
In the evening, watch a famous Acrobatic Show or Kungfu Show (optional). Your tour is finished with hotel drop-off.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace (L)
Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
Meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby in the morning, and drive about 1.5 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall, the best welcomed by travelers for its picturesque scenery, fewer tourist, and beautifully-restored architecture. You can either choose taking a cable car up and cable car down or chair lift up to the Wall and spend 2-3 hours hiking on the Wall, then take a toboggan down.Taking a toboggan ride back down is exciting and a lot of fun (on your own cost).

After finish the Great Wall hiking, stop for a tasty local lunch, then continue to the Summer Palace. Spend the rest of the afternoon at the Summer Palace, a well-preserved royal garden. It has been listed in the World Heritage Sites and considered as one of the most classical gardens of the world.
Your tour concludes with your Beijing hotel drop-off.
