Itinerary

Day 1: Temple of Heaven -Tian’anmen Square-Forbidden City- Hutong Tour with Rickshaw Ride (L)

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
Your guide and driver will meet you in your hotel’s lobby in Beijing.

The tour begins at the Temple of Heaven visited by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is one of several worship sites in the capital where the emperors offered sacrifices. It was constructed between 1406 and 1420 during the reign of Ming Emperor YongLe, who also oversaw the creation of the Forbidden City during the same period. You will get a change to enjoy the local’s morning exercise in the temple and are welcome to join them in the park.

Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
Later, you will stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

After that, you will continue to explore one of the world’s largest public areas—Tiananmen Square, home to the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes.

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
From there you will pass through the South gate to the magnificent Forbidden City – a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions and gardens, which served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for more than 500 years. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Bell and Drum Towers, Di’anmen Wai Main Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
Later, you will take the rickshaw along the Hutong allay and visit a local family in their courtyard home to discover the life style of the locals. The day will be over with Chinese acrobatic show (optional).

Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.

Day 2: Great Wall at Mutianyu Section- Summer Palace- Olympic Park(L)

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
You driver and tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and take you to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. It’s is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than more famous Badaling section of the Wall. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered with trees and orchards.

Unlike the tourist-packed Badaling Wall, which is closer to the city, Mutianyu remains less explored, so you have time to leisurely wander the iconic monument without the crowds. You can even climb ancient watchtowers for views of the surrounding countryside.

Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China
Then you will stop at local restaurant for lunch.

After lunch you will continue to the well-preserved royal garden, the Summer Palace. World-renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture the Summer Palace is listed as the World Heritage Site and considered as one of the most classical gardens in the world.

Pass By: Olympic Park, North of Beisihuanzhong road, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100101 China
On the way back to city, stop for a photo op at Beijing National Stadium, the famous “Bird’s Nest” from the 2008 Summer Olympics.

After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing City.
