Itinerary

Day 1: Temple of Heaven – Lama Temple – Tian’anmen Square – Forbidden City (L)

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
Your friendly tour guide will pick up from your Beijing hotel in early morning and start this exciting 2-day tour of Beijing. Your first stop is Temple of Heaven, which was originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to Heaven and to pray for a year of rich harvest. Walk along the area, beside learning the history from your tour guide, you will also see many locals play Taichi, sing songs, or dance here. It’s now a very popular place particularly for Beijing’s seniors. If you like, you are very welcome to join them.

Stop At: Lama Temple (Yonghegong), No.12 Yonghegong Street, Beixinqiao, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100007 China
Followed by a visit to the Lama Temple, the most celebrated Buddhist temple in Beijing. It is one of the largest and most influential one in China, and was the only temple to have been said to have survived in the Cultural Revolution, and only reopened to the public in 1981.

Stop At: Lost Heaven, Dongcheng Qu, Beijing Shi, China
Then you will enjoy a tasty lunch at one of the best Yunnanese restaurant ‘Lost Heaven’. It is part of the old US-Embassy complex and situated close to Tian’anmen Square. The Yunnan food is excellent, the atmosphere very pleasing, a melange of old traditional Chinese with modern architecture, accomplished with lots of flowers.

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
After lunch, you will visit the biggest city central square-Tian’anmen Square and followed by the Forbidden City visit. Once the epicenter of the Imperial City and the largest ancient palace complex in the world. It will be less crowded in the afternoon. Then, You will be transferred back to your hotel afterwards.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall – Summer Palace(L)

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
You will be picked up around 8:00am and head to the Mutianyu Great Wall, located Northeast ,about 90 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. This section is regarded the most beautiful section, combined the restored and wild parts, there are hand rails to help you up on the very steep parts and the views are spectacular.

Stop At: Home of the Great Wall, CH82+PC3, Huairou District, Beijing, China
After 2 or 3 hours on explore the Wall, you will have lunch at a special restaurant which locates on the top of the mountain. You can clearly see the Great Wall and enjoy the beautiful scenery while enjoying the delicious Chinese food.

Stop At: Summer Palace (Yiheyuan), No.19 Xinjian Gongmen Road, Haidian District, Beijing 100080 China
Then you will be transferred to the Summer Palace (about one hour driving), the largest imperial garden in the world. It was once a summer retreat for emperors. This 716-acre park is still a retreat for the crowd-weary tourist, who can relax here or stroll around ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and huge lake.
After 1.5 to 2 hours visiting, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
