Today,our tour guide can meet you at your Beijing hotel lobby at 8:00am.Then, you will be escorted to the Tiananmen Square first.

At Tiananmen Square, you can take great photos of the Tiananmen Tower, Monument to People’s Heroes, and Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao.
The Tiananmen Square is seated in the center of Beijing City. During the past hundreds of years, it has witnessed numerous historical events and assemblies. Nowadays, it becomes a holding place for grand celebrations, military parades, and welcoming ceremonies for foreign leaders. Besides, visitors can admire the towering Monument to People’s Heroes and the solemn Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao on the square. Traditional Tiananmen Tower, Zhengyang Gate and Qianmen Arrow Tower can also be found there.

Then, you will be led to go across the Tiananmen Tower to visit the Forbidden City, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 – 1911) lived and handled national affairs.
Served as the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Forbidden City is the largest and the best-preserved old wooden complex in the world. The whole palace is divided into Inner Court and Outer Court by the Palace of Heavenly Purity with the outer one for emperors to handle affairs and the inner one as the living place for the imperial family. The complex is also a giant museum with more than one million national treasures exhibited there.

Upon arrival in the parking lot of the scenic area, you will first take an electric car to the entry, and then take the chairlift up to the 14th watchtower. Have a leisurely hike on the wall for about 2 hours, at the end take the toboggan town.
The Great Wall at Mutianyu was built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644) and is one of the most famous sections of the Wall. Mutianyu enjoys the great reputation of “Out of all the Great Walls, Mutianyu stands apart”. Roam the ancient structure and learn the history and facts that make its so famous. Your professional guide will be able to answer any questions and offer exclusive stories and facts about the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Day 2: Beijing–Chongqing by flight. O/N Chongqing.

In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and continue your Beijing tour.

We will firstly visit the Temple of Heaven. It is the largest royal ceremonial building groups in China. Emperors in the past used to hold the annual sacrificial activities here to worship the heaven and pray for a good harvest. Now it has developed into a large park where you can also see local people doing exercises and more recreational activities.

Next we will continue our visit to Beijing Hutong. There we will take a rickshaw to go through the old alleys and pay a visit to a Hutong family to see how the old Beijingers live. There are many popular restaurants, cafes and local food stores in the area, so we may have a lunch there. It should be a good chance to taste the local food there. Our guide will offer you suggestions. After lunch, you could stroll around Houhai Lake and explore more of the Hutong area.

After the Hutong visit, we will drive you to the Lama Temple, which is regarded as the largest Buddhist temple in Beijing. It combines the various architectural styles of different groups, including Han, Manchu, Mongol and Tibet. Opened to tourists from 1981, there are hundreds of thousands of people coming here for praying and visiting every year.

An about 30-minute drive will take you to the Summer Palace, which is reputed as the museum of ancient royal gardens. Our expert guide will show you around. The whole garden mainly consists of the Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. The Long Corridor, seven hundred twenty-eight meters (796.2 yards) in length, boasts as the longest corridor in Chinese gardens. Beginning from the Yaoyue (Inviting-Moon) Gate and ending up with Shizhang Pavilion, the corridor ingeniously links Longevity Hill with Kunming Lake. You might appreciate the exquisite murals and enjoy the melodious music while walking along there.

At around 08:30, our excellent tour guide will pick you up at your downtown Chongqing hotel for a 3-hour comfortable private vehicle drive to Wulong County.

Wulong, featuring peculiar karst landforms, boasts of jaw-dropping stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes and gorges.
Wulong becomes known to foreign tourists due to Michael Bay’s hit movie – Transformers: Age of Extinction, which directly shows the majesty beauty of the Three Natural Bridges in Wulong. Besides the famous movie-site, other interesting nature objects are also in this area, like Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap and Fairy Mountain.

After a hearty lunch at a local restaurant, your splendid Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, the essential scenic feature of this world heritage area. Exquisitely sculptured by the hands of god, the three giant stone arch bridges are real wonders that can’t be seen anywhere else in the world. Inside the tranquil scenic area, you can embrace the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by meandering along the narrow path on the valley’s bottom.
During the 2 – 2.5 hours visit, you will also stop by an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, which was constructed during the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) for handling official business and receiving guests. The wooden-structured courtyards are still well preserved with more than 20 rooms remaining.
After some free time to wander around, your Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes. You will be transferred back to your hotel. Upon arrival at around 18:30.

Today, you will go to Dazu County for a whole day of sightseeing (your guide will meet you at 08:30 in your hotel lobby).

This is the birthplace of the amazing Dazu rock carvings, which were created from the late Tang dynasty (618~907) to the early Song dynasty (960~1127).
With the theme of Buddhism, the Dazu cliffside carvings are distributed in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan and Shizhuanshan. You will spend the day visiting the Baodingshan carvings located about 527 meters above sea level. It consists mainly of the Dafowan rock carvings area and the Xiaofowan rock carvings area.

Next, we will reach the well-preserved Baodingshan Carvings. There are green buses taking you to Baodingshan directly. You will see that mountain cliffs are densely scattered with Buddhist and Taoist statues as well as celebrity figures from the late Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). There are about 10,000 statues of Buddha carved on the 500 meter cliff in the U-shaped Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with plenty of commentary but no repeated content.
You can wander at your own pace to have a close look at the precious grotto art. After the tour, a bumper lunch will be served at a fancy restaurant so that you can taste authentic Chongqing cuisines.

After lunch, we will drive to Chongqing Chaotianmen cruise port and Board the ship from 18;30 to 21:00 and departs Chongqing at 21:30.

Day 5: Sailing & Shore Excursion at Fengdu Jade Emperor. O/N Victoria Cruise boat.

Today will be a relaxing day for you. A Yangtze River cruise orientation will be given by the cruise guide after breakfast. Then you can choose to rest on the deck or participate in some activities in the schedule. An onshore excursion to Fengdu “Jade Emperor” will be arranged in the morning around 8:00am.After the excursion, you will continue the cruise trip and the Captain’s Welcome Party will be held in the evening.
P.S: About the Fengdu Jade Emperor Scenic Spot–The scenic spot is built along the mountains and river, use the Jade Emperor image as the overall shape. The construction of 30 traditional architectures here are based on four-image, five-element and eight-diagram, contained more than 200 elaborately sculpted statues of gods, revealing the traditional immortal culture and creating a solemn atmosphere of religious culture. Famous scenic spots are including Jade Emperor Hall, the Great Buddhist’s Hall, Land’s Hall, Domu Hall, Wealth Hall and Prayer Hall etc.If you are interested in the old structures and traditional Chinese culture and religions, do not miss this great place.

Day 6: Sailing through Three Gorges & Shore Excursion at Shennv Stream. O/N Victoria Cruise boat.
Pass By: Chongqing Qutang Gorge, Baidi Cheng, Fengjie County 404600 China
This day the Yangtze River Cruise Ship will first enter Qutang Gorge, the beginning passage of the Three Gorges, which is the shortest but the grandest one. Later, we will pass the Wu Gorge with famous lofty and misty peaks on two sides. It is the largest and the longest gorge along the way. This gorge is full of craggy grotesque rocks, and the entire pass looks like a winding natural gallery.
Stop At: Shennv Stream, Changjiang River South Bank, Originated in Guandu District, Wushan County 404700 China
Afterwards, you will disembark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennong Stream, which originates from the south slope of Shennongjia. You will take a pea boat ride drifting along the crystal stream to have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient hanging coffins and precious animals. Moreover, the unique songs of the local Tujia people will leave you a deep impression.
After that, you will go back to the ship and continue the cruise to the west section of Xiling Gorge, which is famous for torrential water.

Day 7: Sailing & Shore Excursion at Three Gorges Dam. The tour end of Yichang.

After breakfast, please pack your luggage and check out the cruise. The cruise company will arrange an excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam, which is the largest water power project in the world. Then they will drive you to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang city.

Our local driver and guide will meet you at Three gorges tourist center and can show you visit the Yichang Riverside park and Wanda Plaza.
