Day 2: Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)

Stop At: Dingling Underground Palace, Ming Tombs, Changling Town, Changping District, Beijing 102213 China
Pick up from hotel lobby and start the tour with Dingling Mausoleum.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Beijing, Beijing
Next, pay a 45 minutes’ visit to Jade Carving Factory and have lunch in a local restaurant.

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China
Then continue to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches 5400 meters. 90% of the Mutianyu Great Wall is covered by vegetation. So in each season this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. The visiting time on Great Wall would be about 2 hours. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional.

Day 3: Beijing -Xian by Overnight Train (Breakfast + Lunch)

Stop At: Beijing, Beijing
Today’s first stop is Tian’anmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and the largest city square in the world.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
Then you will pay a visit the Forbidden City, one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complexly built with wood. There were 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912) lived in the Forbidden City.

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China
Then after short visit to Silk Market you will head to Temple of Heaven.

Then you will enjoy lunch and pay a short visit to a Pearl Market.

After that, continue the tour to Summer Palace, the largest and most completely preserved imperial garden in China.

Meet the guide at confirmed time and start to Terracotta Warriors Factory and Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the eighth world wonder.

Stop At: Xi’an Banpo Museum, North of Banpo Village, Baqiao District, Xi’an 710038 China
After lunch, you will head to the Banpo Museum. After that back to hotel.

Day 5: Xian -Shanghai by Overnight Train (Breakfast + Lunch)

Today’s first stop is Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area.

Day 6: Shanghai (Lunch)

Stop At: Jade Buddha Temple, 170 An Yuan Road, Shanghai China
Your tour begins with Jade Buddha Temple. It was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1875-1909) with its priceless collection of jade statues from Burma. The construction of the temple is in the magnificent architectural style of the Song Dynasty. There are monks currently living in the Temple and the Temple houses the Shanghai Buddhist Institute.

Next stop is Fresh Water Pearl Gallery. We may see the process of pearl cultivation. One lucky participant will be presented with a single pearl from a mussel.

Stop At: People’s Square, People’s Square, Shanghai
People Square is a spectacular space in the heart of the city. It is a vast green area including plants and trees, and surrounded by great buildings on all sides, where you may feed the lovely doves to pray for the world peace.

Stop At: Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), No.201 Renmin Avenue, Shanghai China
The visit to Shanghai Museum(closed on each Monday) will take you to the climax in the morning. The museum design is in keeping with Feng Shui principles. It houses a great permanent collection and hosts various exhibitions with over 120,000 pieces including bronze ware, ceramics, paintings, calligraphy, sculpture, ancient Chinese coins, jade carving, ancient furniture, and western art, which shows you 5000 years history of China. We recommend you to rent an audio phone (USD 5) to make 1.5 hours visit more splendid.

After lunch, classic sights from the Ming and Qing dynasties, when you visit the enchanting Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street. The garden covers a significant space and includes many halls, springs and other buildings of interest. The visit brings you back to Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1368-1644)

Then, the tour stops at the Bund on Shanghai’s waterfront, a showcase of pre-1949 architecture. The symbol of old and new Shanghai, Bund is Shanghai’s most famous landmark. Four kilometers long, the Bund has long been one of the most important areas in Shanghai, and a must to visit to every visitor. In the 1930s, the row of buildings was host to the city’s financial and commercial centers and the world’s greatest banks and trading empires established a base here.

The silk factory in Shanghai is not only an interesting place to see how Chinese silk has been produced since the 14th century, but also a desirable site to purchase in low price.

Stop At: Former French Concession, Puxi Central, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200000 China
After a drive along the former French Concession District, characterized by beautiful, tree-lined streets and weathered European architecture, then, you’ll be able to stretch your legs in Shanghai’s hottest new entertainment district, Xin Tian Di. The brick buildings on these two-square blocks have been preserved and transformed into trendy clubs, restaurants and boutiques. You will have time on your own here, or can go back to your hotel with the group.

Day 7: Shanghai (Breakfast + Lunch)

Stop At: Suzhou, Suzhou, Jiangsu
Today, you will experience two picturesque towns, Suzhou and Zhouzhuang, each unique in the splendors they reveal. Suzhou is one of the oldest towns in the Yangtze basin, founded in about 600 B.C. With its interconnected waterways and beautiful environment, the city is often referred as “The Venice of the East”. Suzhou was one of the few cities in China to escape the ravages of Cultural Revolution and its famous gardens survived almost intact. It is the gardens here, which are the most famous attraction in the city. The gardens embody the harmonious principles of Chinese garden construction, which dictate that gardens should attempt to create a microcosm of the universe in a confined space.

Stop At: Master-of-Nets Garden, No.11 Kuojiatou Alley, Daichengqiao Road, Canglang District, Suzhou 215006 China
Upon arrival in Suzhou, the first stop is Net Master Garden, the best and most celebrated as a model Ming Dynasty Garden in all of Suzhou. Then it’s on to view the Ancient City Wall, the Grand Canal, and a tour of a silk spinning factory to see how Chinese silk has been produced since the 14th century.

Stop At: Zhouzhuang Water Town, Qing Ping Shanghai Highway, Kunshan 215300 China
After lunch, we visit the water town of Zhouzhuang and board a Chinese-style gondola to cruise the waterways of the town.

Zhouzhuang is well known for its beautiful environment and simple architecture, well preserved for over 900 years. The majority of the town’s residences were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and nearly 100 classic courtyards and 60 carved-brick archways are still in use. In this water village, locals live life on waterways, still doing everyday activities from washing clothes to shopping from vendors in boats.
