Your English-speaking driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00am.

Drive to the Great Wall section of Juyongguan and take a small walk on it. Juyongguan Great Wall is one of the three most famous passes along the Great Wall of China, together with Jiayuguan and Shanhaiguan. 37 miles (60 km) from downtown Beijing, Juyong Pass was a solid stronghold encircling a valley, which was the northern direct access to Beijing in ancient times.

Take a local countryside-style lunch before heading to the Longqing Gorge. Visitors compare the scenery of the gorge to the Three Gorges of thevYangtze River, but its mountains are much steeper than those along the Yangtze. The scenery also resembles the Li River in Guilin, but the water here is much clearer.
