The Temple of Heaven Park, Tiantan in Chinese, is located in the Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is the largest and most representative existing masterpiece among China’s ancient sacrificial buildings.

This ancient garden, with over 1,000 years’ history, is not only a classic combination of the grandiosity of the northern gardens and the refinement of the southern gardens in China, but also a perfect integration of magnificent imperial palaces and solemn religious constructions.

The back lakes Hutong has over than 700 years history. But most of the houses was restored. Lots of local people still live in this area for generations to generations. Beijing Olympic Park is where the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympics took place. It occupies a total area of 2,864 acres (1,159 hectares), of which 1,680 acres (680 hectares) in the north are covered by the Olympic Forest Park, 778 acres (315 hectares) make up the central section, and 405 acres (164 hectares) in the south are scattered with venues for the 1990 Asian Games. The park was designed to contain ten venues, the Olympic Village, and other supporting facilities. Afterward, it was transformed into a comprehensive multifunctional activity center for the public.

Yonghe Temple, also known as Harmony and Peace Palace Lamasery, Yonghe Lamasery, or Yonghe Lama Temple, is located at the northeast corner of Beijing City, considered as the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China.

Located on Guozijian Street inside Anding Gate, the Temple of Confucius in Beijing is the place where people paid homage to Confucius during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Its neighbor in the west is Beijing Guozijian (Imperial Academy), which was the institute of the highest education well preserved in China.

It is also called the Dashanzi Art District (DAD) as it sits in Dashanzi zone. 798 Art District covers an area of 148 acres (60 hectares), with Jiuxianqiao Road to its west, Beijing-Baotou railway to its east, Jiangtai Road to its south and Jiuxianqiao Road North to its north. Characterized by modern art, it has become the exhibition center of Chinese culture and art, and also the world-famous cultural and creative industries centralized area.

The National Museum of China sits to the east of Tiananmen Square and south of Chang’an Street, opposite to the Great Hall of the People. Finished at the same time, the National Museum of China and the Great Hall of the People were both among the ‘Ten Great Constructions’ completed for the 10th birthday of the PRC. It was built on the basis of the former Museum of Chinese History and the former Museum of Chinese Revolution, being the most inclusive museum of time-honored Chinese culture and history in the country. After four year’s renovation and expansion, the new National Museum of China reopened in March, 2011 ranks among the largest modern museums in the world.

Panjiayuan Antique Market, is the largest, most complete, cheapest and most popular market selling second hand goods and curios in China. There are so many types of goods in Panjiayuan Antique Market that it is like a museum.
