Itinerary

Day 1: Chengdu. O/N Chengdu

Stop At: Chengdu, Chengdu, Sichuan
In the morning, our driver and guide will meet you at 8:00am of your Chengdu hotel then transfer to Chengdu Panda Base, need 30 minutes driving, 15km.
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi), No.1375 Xiongmao Avenue the Outside Northern Third Ring Road, Chenghua District, Chengdu 610081 China
First, we will visit the Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding Research Base which is home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas. Most are of the familiar black and white variety, but the Base is also home to a number of the smaller, lesser-known red pandas.

You’ll view the animals eating and at play in a carefully maintained habitat that is as close to their natural environment as possible. You’ll also learn how scientists and ecologists are working to protect the few remaining wild pandas and expand the captive population. On that last note, over 100 bears have been born at the Base since 1987.

The Base became even more important after the Sichuan earthquake of 2008, with eight bears sent here from the badly damaged Wolong reserve. Your visit provides both moral and financial support for the ongoing conservation effort.

Stop At: Wenshu Yuan Monastery, No.66 Wenshuyuan Street, Qingyang District, Chengdu 610017 China
Following the pandas, you will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the hustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple which is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. It is the home of the Buddhist Association of Sichuan Province and Chengdu City.
During this temple, we can see the ancient architectures, buddhas’ statues,buddhist sutras, Painting and calligraphy treasures.

Stop At: Kuanzhai Alley, East of Tongren Road, west of Changshun Street, Qingyang District, Chengdu 610015 China
After the Wushu temple, then it’s time for lunch. our guide will show you the local restaurant for lunch at Kuanzhai Alley if nearby or after the lunch, can go there to have a look and spend 30 minutes there.

Stop At: Chengdu Renmin Park, No.12 Shaocheng Road, Qingyang District, Chengdu 610015 China
Next, go to Renmin Park and you know that park is a comprehensive garden for both the cultural heritages collection and entertainment. The locals in Chengdu often drink tea for relaxing here. You will never know what real lifestyle in the “Capital of Leisure” is like unless you visit Renmin Park. There are always crowds sitting in the shade of the park from when the sun rises. The best things to do here include going into a teahouse, ordering a cup of tea, reading for a whole afternoon, thinking about nothing, or chatting with some old friends. Enjoying the slow life in Chengdu, you may suddenly feel that you are leading a happy life.

Afterwards, take the private car to Jinli old street which is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. Time steals away from you quietly while walking on the lively streets which are full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, etc.

Day 2: Chengdu–Leshan Buddha–Mount Emei. O/N Emei(The Golden Summit or Leidongping)

In the morning, our driver and guide can meet you at the Chengdu hotel at 09:00am or Chengdu airport/train station then transfer to the Leshan and need 2.5hrs driving, 150km.

Stop At: Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo), No.2435 Lingyun Street, Shizhong District, Leshan 614000 China
Experience the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism’s holiest sites, on this amazing full-day tour from Chengdu.
Dating from the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was cut from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan in the hopes of calming the turbulent waters of the three rivers that flow together under its gaze. Stairs are carved into the cliff that connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, allowing you to view this astonishing sight from a range of vantage points. Views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.

Upon arrival in Leshan, we have lunch at a restaurant within sight the Giant Buddha. We’ll then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.

Wen then pay a visit to Lingyun Temple and Museum and get a deeper insight into the history of this amazing Buddhist site and learn the story of the carving of the Giant Buddha.

Stop At: Baoguo Temple, The foot of Emei Mountain, Emeishan 614200 China
Next, go to Bao Guo Temple, the largest temple at Emei Mountain, is the doorway to the mountain as well as the center of Buddhist activity of Emei Mountain. The temple faces the Phoenix Lake and backs onto the Phoenix Plains; it welcomes the sun-rise each morning and is the last place to see sun-set at dusk.

The temple was constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple in Ming Dynasty and was originally named the Hui Zong Hall, with an intension of gathering Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoist. In early Qing Dynasty, the Hui Zong Hall was moved to the actual residence and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to “Bao Guo” which literally translates as “serve the nation”.

Stop At: Mount Emei (Emeishan), Emeishan 614201 China
Afterwords head to Emei mountain and try to bring small bags due to just overnight one night there.
We take sightseeing bus to the upper station and need 2hrs driving and before of the mountain zig raod, try to sit in front the part bus.

The Mount Emei (Emeishan) is not only famous as World Heritage Site of both culture and nature, but also known as one of the Four Great Buddhist Mountains in China and home to 5000 kinds of plants (more than the total plants of Europe) and over 2300 kinds of wild animals. It is ideal place for hiking, Buddhist culture exploration, photography, winter holiday, summer hot retreat, and suitable for visiting all year around.

Stop At: Leidong Ping, Emei Mountain Scenic Area, Emeishan China
when we reach the Leidongping bus station,then we hike about 30 minutes to get to the Jieyingting Cableway Station. Then we can take cableways to the top of Emeishan – Golden Summit.

Note: If the Golden Summit no room available then you can stay at Leidongping. Stay both places can catch the mount Emei sunrise.

Stop At: E’meishan Jinding Scenic Resort, Within E’mei Mountain, Emeishan 614200 China
After the cable car, just few minutes waking, we can see the Golden Summit and can catch the sunset if you stay there. The experience on the Golden Summit is fabulous – sparkling golden Buddha statue, grandiose temples, endless stretching cloud sea, fresh air, etc.

Day 3: Mount Emei Golden Summit sunrise–Wannian temple–Chengdu. The tour end.

Stop At: E’meishan Jinding Scenic Resort, Within E’mei Mountain, Emeishan 614200 China
At 6:00am, our guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and walking to the Golden Summit to watch the fabulous sunrise view on summit. Beneath from the rolling see-clouds, the first golden glimmer would always strike on the imposing statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. And when the sun jumps out at the end of skyline, the Summit turns into a glorious Buddhist kingdom as if all the statues, temples, halls and pilgrims are blessed. Then, check out hotel near the Summit and go back to Emeishan City to have lunch.

Stop At: Wannian Temple, Under the Shizi Peak, Emeishan 614200 China
If you want to see more, on route, can stop the Wannian temple for visit. The Wannian Temple is one of main eight temples at Emei Mountain. Sitting 1020 meters above sea-level, this temple is so famous and nationally renowned because of the amazing statue of Buddha Samantabhadra and precious artifacts that are kept there. The temple has a rich Buddhist history and to this day continues to attract both Buddhist and tourists.

Before transfer back to Chengdu, we will have a lunch at Emeishan city.
