Doing panda volunteer program is the most meaningful thing to well protect the lovely Giant Pandas with our own hands. If you want to join, the best and closest base is Dujiangyan Panda Base, about 62 kilometers away from Chengdu downtown. Dujiangyan Panda Base is not only a good place to do volunteering work, but also a well-managed base to see numerous pandas at different ages.
What will you do in your full day panda volunteer program? The panda volunteering usually lasts from 08:30 to 16:00. Volunteers can turn out to be “Honorable Keeper”, “Panda Nutritionist” and “Love Feeder” to take care of the cuddly giant pandas. Most importantly, you have got twice chances to feed the pandas in very close distance.It will definitely be rare precious experience in your whole life.
This tour includes private car transferring to the base from Chengdu/back to Chengdu, private tour guide, lunch and etc. (Note: Health Examination Certificate is needed before taking this program.)

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Dujiangyan Panda Base, Dujiangyan 611830 China
07:00-08:30: Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Chengdu and start your tour to Dujiangyan Panda Base with a private car.
08:30-09:00: Arrive at Dujiangyan Panda Base and then learn the safety announcement and sign the security agreement. Put on work clothes and gloves, wear volunteer pass card before head to the working place.
09:00-10:00: Begin your panda volunteer work and it needs to do some physical activities, including carrying out old bamboos and picking up dropping from the panda enclosures, wash and clean the panda enclosures, carrying in fresh bamboo leaves and shoots and so on.
10:00-11:00: Enjoy your time to visit the whole Dujiangyan Panda Base and see many pandas and red pandas living in different areas.
11:00-11:30: Cherish the moment to feed the giant pandas with panda cake or other food, like carrot, bamboo shoot, bamboo and apple. Know their eating behavior and diet under the instructions of the staff.
11:30-13:00: Have lunch in the canteen and take a short break.
13:00-14:00: Watch a panda documentary which shows the scientific facts about the endangered national treasure, and know the importance of taking care of them and how to live in harmony with them.
14:00-14:50: Let’s clean the panda enclosure and feed them again.
14:50-15:30: Involve in the interesting volunteer activity – making panda cake in person and you can imagine and make the special food for the pandas.
15:30-16:00: Your panda volunteer work is going to end. You’ll receive the panda volunteer certificate and other memorable souvenirs. Before you leave, say goodbye to the lovely pandas. Later, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel in Chengdu. You’ll arrive in Chengdu around 17:00-17:30.
