During this one day trip, you will first visit the pandas at the much less-travelled and quieter Panda Vally in Chengdu’s countryside, instead of the often-crowded Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, so that you will enjoy your time with the pandas much better. In addition, we will take you to do a 7km walk tour at Fengxi Mountain after trying some local dishes at Jiezi Ancient Town which is located at the foot the mountain. Mount Fengqi is another off-the-beaten-path destination where you could relax and enjoy the fresh air. This is a good combination of panda visit and countryside walk.

Itinerary

Stop At: Panda Valley, Baima Village Yutang Town, Dujiangyan China
At 08:00am, our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu and then head for the Panda Valley located in the northwestern countryside of Chengdu Plain. It takes about 1.5 hours to get there and on the way you will see the beautiful countryside of Chengdu and finally arrive at the mountains where the Panda Valley is situated.
After arriving, slowly walk in the panda base and take a close look at the giant panda. This is a beautiful place for pandas to enjoy their life. This research base dedicated to rehabilitating pandas back into the wild. Panda Valley, although having fewer pandas, is much quieter than the research base in Chengdu city, allowing for a more intimate experience.

Stop At: Jiezi Ancient Town, Jiezi Town, Chongzhou 611242 China
We will drive about half an hour to Jiezi Ancient Town and have lunch in a restaurant. After lunch, we will take a short walk to explore this beautiful riverside town before starting our hiking from the other side of the river. Our destination is the Buddhism monastery at the top of the Fengqi Mountain. This is a beautifully tranquil area less explored by tourists, and you will enjoy the fresh air and quietness while walking up. You will also see some small local villages in the mountains and the villagers run guesthouses and restaurants.
At about 04:30pm. we will meet the driver and drive back to Chengdu. The estimate arrive time to your hotel is between 06:00 to 06:30pm.
