Dali Trip Overview
This tour covers Dali, Shaxi and Lijiang with private transportation during the entirety of your trip from one destination to another. The consequence of the trip is able to be reversed. You can start from Dali or Lijiang.

What to Expect When Visiting Dali, Yunnan, China

Day 1: Dali
Visit Dali, Xizhou, Zhoucheng (L)
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel (within Dali Ancient Town) and go to our meeting point.
(Sometimes Dali Ancient Town doesn’t allow cars to go into small places, in that case, we will arrange a meeting point)
Then your driver will bring you to Xizhou, visiting Xizhou morning market, Bai-style traditional architectural courtyards, and explore the Bai minority’s distinctive culture. Then you will visit the biggest Bai village —– Zhoucheng Village, which is often called “Home of the Bai ethnic minority Tie- Dye culture” and experience the tie- dye culture first-hand.
After Lunch, you will take a cruise on Erhai Lake to Jinsuo Island, a local cormorant fishing village. Enjoy the green Cangshan Mountain Range and the Three Pagodas from far as well as the many birds flying over the lake. After that, the guide will take you to check-in to your hotel and enjoy a free-time evening in the town.
Day 2: Shaxi
Visit Shibaoshan on the way and then Sidengjie (B, L), the center of Shaxi old town
After breakfast your driver will drive you to Shaxi, passing beautiful farmlands and ethnic villages along the way. You’ll explore the Shibao mountain area, home to some of the most important stone carvings in China
Then, you will go back to Shaxi and check-in to your hotel. Shaxi has thousands of years of history and while on your way to the Sidengjie and Xingjiao Temples, you can stroll through the streets and take in the feelings of that history. Later, you will visit the nearby Yunjin Bridge and Heihui River which was a key stop on the Ancient Tea-horse Road. It’ll be easy to imagine ancient life while standing on the stone bridges, streets, temples, and village gates.
Day 3: Lijiang
Visit Black Dragon Pool, Dongba Naxi Museum, Jade Lake Naxi Village and Lijiang Dayan Ancient Town (B, L)
After breakfast stroll around the streets and perhaps shop at the morning markets where elders selling vegetables and fresh meat and other local products, then, your driver will take you to Lijiang. Your Lijiang tour guide will bring you to the Black Dragon Pool where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from afar then go to the Dongba Museum to explore Naxi minority culture. Afterwards you will drive to Yuhu village. You then have the opportunity to join a guided horse trek. Afterwards your driver will bring you back to Lijiang Ancient Town , where this tour will end.
