Day 1: Arrival Dunhuang

Upon arrival at Dunhuang Airport or Dunhuang Rail Station, your guide will pick you up at arrival lobby and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Be sure to explore the night market nearby the hotel in the evening!

Day 2: Dunhuang
Stop At: Mogao Caves, West of Hexi Zoulang, Dunhuang 736200 China
Buddhas). These caves are examples of rock-cut architecture of soft gravel conglomerate not suitable for either sculpture or elaborate architectural details.

Stop At: Minshan Mountain, Within Ruoergai County, Zoige County 624500 China
In the afternoon, enjoy a fun hike on the sand dunes to visit the Crescent Spring and Singing Sand Dunes.

Day 3: Dunhuang – Jiayuguan
Stop At: Jiayuguan Fortress, Within Yuquan Town, Yuquan Town, Jiayuguan 735100 China
In the morning, you will catch 5-hour bus/train ride to Jiayuguan, the western end of the Great Wall for Ming Dynasty. Upon arrival, transfer to visit Jiayuguan Fort that is called The First Pass Under Heaven.

Stop At: Xuanbi Great Wall, Jiayuguan City, China
Then climb up the Overhanging Great Wall, which was reconstructed in 1980s based on the original site with a wonderful view. Afterwards you will be transferred to hotel.

Day 4: Departing from Jiayuguan

If time permits, you could visit Wei and Jin Tombs before heading to Jiayuguan Airport where this 3-night trip concludes.
