As you explore the complex, discover traditional Canton architecture, and get a close look at the rich carvings, pottery, and engravings that adorn nearly every square inch.

Continue on to Shamian Island, a former British and French colony that dates back a century. After time to wander among the European-style buildings, head to a local restaurant for a lunch of tasty Cantonese dim sum.
