The distance from Yangshuo or Guilin to Fenghuang (Fenix) is covered in 5 hours.
The tour usually starts at 08:30 am and arrives in Fenghuang at 13:30 pm.
Conversely, the start and end times are identical.
You can choose to make a stop en route or at the LONGJI RICE TERRACES or the Dong village of CHENGYANG or the typical neighborhood of old HONGJIANG … each of these places suppose at least 3 more hours to visit … so it would arrive at Fenghuang around 18:00 pm.
CHENGYANG: Chengyang is a group of 8 peoples of the Dong ethnic group settled in the valley of the Linxi River. In it, its traditional constructions of wooden houses and the interesting structures called “Torres del Tambor” and “Bridges of Rain and Wind”, emblem of this ethnic group, stand out. In addition, its beautiful agricultural surroundings are characterized by extensive tea plantations in the hills and rice fields along the river.
HONGJIANG: The ancient city of Hongjiang, 42km from Huaihua city (near Fenghuang), was used during the Ming and Qing dynasties as a commercial and cultural center in southwestern Hunan. Of great interest is strolling through its typical streets and stepped alleys visiting Buddhist, Taoist and ancestor temples, houses of noble families, rich landowners and governors, theaters and old grocery stores.

The driver will pick up the travelers at 08:15 am at the reception of the hotels they have contracted; It should be considered if the street is accessible to car traffic.
Travelers pickup can be both from Guilin or Yangshuo and vice versa from Zhangjiajie or Fenghuang.
During the journey you can make stops at service stations to have a rest, buy drinks or snacks and have lunch.
The driving time could have slight changes in case of traffic jams, road repair or weather.
If travelers so wish, possible extensions of the routes can be negotiated directly with the driver or add another day of service.
