If you’re from Da Nang (30 km/ 20 miles from Hoi An), please come to our office in Hoi An to start the tour. Our office is inside Song Thanh restaurant, the address is at 67 Tran Quang Khai street, Cam Chau ward, Hoi An.
From Hoi An, we’ll drive about an hour on quiet country roads in rural villages. We’ll have several stops en route to see fishing communities, rice paddies, vegetable farms, cattle herds, wave “hello” to local farmers…
After an hour driving through countryside villages on vespas, we’ll reach My Son sanctuary and spend about 90 minutes walking at slow pace.
The Hindu temples were built from the 4th to 13th centuries. The temple complex was recognized as world heritage site by UNESCO in 1999. Walking at slow pace with our local tour guide, you’ll learn the history of ancient Champa Kingdom and Khmer Empire.
With local guide’s commentary, you’ll understand more interesting facts of the Hindu temples. You’ll learn how the Champa people made the bricks from clay to built such a unique temples that are still standing strong after a thousand years.
