Stop At: Ruins of St. Paul’s, Rua de Sao Paulo, Macau China

The Grand Semba Torii (Portuguese: Ruínas de São Paulo) is a site on the front wall of the Church of the Mother of God in Macau (ie St. Paul’s Church). In 1992, the Grand Semba Torii was elected as one of the “Macao Eight Scenic Spots” and won the nickname “Sacred Ruins of Samba” [5]. On October 23, 1996, the Macao government built a Catholic art museum and cemetery in the place of the main altar of the original church, displaying some of the precious cultural relics of the Macao church, and the site has become a religious site again [6]. In 2005, the Sanshenba archway was included in the World Heritage List [7] as part of the historic district of Macau.
