Kowloon Trip Overview
When you visit Hong Kong, you are encouraged to visit the glamorous side of the city – The Peak, Victoria Harbor and all. Nether your travel research nor the Hong Kong Tourism Board would tell you we have a poverty rate of 20%, or 1.5 million, making Hong Kong more unfair than Colombia and Rwanda.
This is not just a number, however. It makes up of real people who serve you everyday as a tourist, they live in cage houses and coffin houses without sharing the economy success from the world-renowned financial center.
This tour is about understanding HK capitalistic system and visiting the poor district including a sub-divided unit. We hope you could reflect upon the problems we face in Hong Kong, and bring these with you when you visit the glamorous Victoria Harbor again.
