Stop At: Wong Tai Sin Temple, Chuk Un, Hong Kong
One of the more popular temples among the locals, the Wong Tai Sin Temple was named after Wong Chu-ping who was born in 328AD. Legend has it that the young shepherd boy decided to follow and dedicate his life to Taoism at the age of 15. After 40 years it is said he achieved enlightenment and became immortal. In 1915, two Taoist priests set up the Wong Tai Sin temple as a shrine to Wong Tai Sin, with a portrait of the man himself set up in the place of honor.
