Stop At: Dian Lake (Dian Chi), Southwest of Xishan District, Xishan District, Kunming 650228 China
Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your Kunming hotel, hop on your private air-conditioned vehicle, heading directly to Dian Lake. (1 hour drive)
Dian Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province and the sixth largest one in China. Its natural banks are formed by mountains on all four sides. Follow your tour guide to stroll around the park, enjoy beautiful sceneries with birds flying around. Take the boat to cruise the lake.

Stop At: Kunming West Hill (Xishan Forest Park), West of Kunming’s suburb, Xishan District, Kunming 650100 China
Next, use the convenient cable car to explore the West Hill. West Hills boasts an excellent environment with flourishing flowers and dense forest, providing excellent environment to enjoy the tranquility and marvelous scenery. It is known as ‘having the most pleasant environment in the world’.

Your first stop is the Dragon Gate where you can enjoy amazing paranomic view of Dian Lake and Kunming City.

Stop At: Sanqing Pavilion, North of Xishan Scenic Resort, Xishan District, Kunming 650100 China
Then, move on to Sanqing Pavilion. The pavilion was built on the cliff, looks like a ‘castle in the air’. Stroll around the halls and courtyards in the temple, get to know the history about the Taoism in China and enjoy amazing panoramic view of Dianchi Lake.

Pass By: Taihua Temple, On Taihua Mountain, Xishan District, Kunming 650100 China
Depending on your time and interests, you can choose to visit Taihua Temple. Originally built in the Yuan Dynasty (1206 – 1368), the temple is the oldest one in Western Hills. The temple is famous for the beautiful rare flowers on the grounds.
Stop At: Huating Temple, Centre of Xishan Scenic Resort, Xishan District, Kunming 650100 China
Spend some leisure time to explore the Dragon Gate area. Then you will take the ski lift descend. Take the battery bus offered by the attraction. You can choose to visit Huating Temple. In the temple you can see three golden Buddha figures with kindly expressions, 500 life-like arhats which are vivid just like real people, and golden figures of Laughing Buddha. Besides, there are abundant colored clay figures depicting vividly various images of mythical animals.

Stop At: Yunnan Nationalities VillageBenzilam, 8km 4 3/4 miles south of Lake Dian, Kunming China
Enjoy lunch in the local restaurant, you will visit Yunnan Nationalities Village in the afternoon. Endowed with lofty hills, beautiful pools, exquisite traditional houses and rare plants, Yunnan Nationalities Village showcases the architectural styles, religious beliefs, and folk customs of 26 ethnic groups in exquisite detail. You will find some amusement activities, like water screen films, ethnic cabarets and the folk show The Call of the Plateau. Follow your tour guide to explore the village and feel free to join the locals.
After the tour finished, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kunming.
