Stop At: Nanjing City Wall (Ming City Wall), Nanjing 210001 China

Zhonghua Gate, the magnificent southern gate of Nanjing’s city wall. This part of the wall is one of the best preserved sections in the city and provides an excellent example of how city walls and gateways were constructed to provide maximum defense against attack by enemies.

Your tour will include a visit of Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall. Built in 1984, the memorial hall is to commemorate the victims sacrificed in Nanjing Massacre committed by Japanese on December 13th in 1937 after the Japanese invaded and occupied Nanjing city during the World War II. It is located in the southwestern corner of Nanjing near to “pit of ten thousand corpses”, a site where thousands of thousands bodies were buried during the massacre. Built with gray marbles, the hall is quite impressive and solemn, which is home to historical documents, cultural relics, art and sculptures.

The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge was completed and opened for traffic in 1968.It was the third bridge over the Yangtze after the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and the Chongqing Baishatuo Yangtze River Bridge. It was the first heavy bridge designed and built by Chinese expertise.The bridge is a double-decked road-rail truss bridge across the Yangtze River.Its right bridge consists of nine piers, with the maximum span of 160 meters (525 ft) and the total length of 1,576 meters (5,171 ft). The bridge carries approximately 80,000 vehicles and 190 trains per day. Accompanied by your tour guide, you will take the elevator in Da Qiao park up to the bridge sightseeing platform where you can have a broad view of grand Yangtze River and magnificent bridge.
