Pass By: Beijing Railway Station, No.13 Jiawan Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing China

Your driver will pick you up at your prearranged time in your Nanjing Hotel’s lobby and you will be transferred to Nanjing train station. Enjoy a 3.5 hour train trip to Beijing. Upon arrival, your local guide will hold your name sign waiting for you at the exit of the arrival hall. 

Discuss with the tour guide on where you want to go in Beijing City (within the 4th ring road of Beijing City zone ), typically you will do : Tian’anmen square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven.

Stop At: Temple of Heaven, Tiantan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100050 China

You will heading to Beijing’s UNESCO-protected Temple of Heaven visited by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven, whose origins stretch back nearly 600 years. The Temple of Heaven is one of several worship sites in the capital where the emperors offered sacrifices. Its location in the city derives from the notion that yang,the mal vital principle,is located n the south;and as Heaven is yang,it should be worshipped in the southern suburbs of the capital.

The Temple of Heaven was constructed between 1406 and 1420 during the reign of Ming Emperor YongLe (reign: 1403-1424), who also oversaw the creation of the Forbidden City during the same period.

Enjoy lunch in the local restaurant, then heading to The Tian’anmen square.

Tian’anmen square is the world’s largest public square, it is the home to the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes. Follow your tour guide, stroll along the square and get to know the histories and stories behind.

From there you will pass through the South gate to the magnificent Forbidden City – a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions and gardens, which served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for more than 500 years. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. See ancient treasures from thousands of years of history and admire the maze of palaces, gardens and stunning courtyards as your guide informs you about their histories and stories.

After your tour finished you can choose to end your tour in Beijing, your tour guide will drop you off in the lobby of your Beijing City hotel’s lobby. Or travel back to Nanjing by bullet train.
