At Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, you can view many textual and graphic files and architectural models, which will help you get an overall understanding of the development of Shanghai.

The Urban Planning Exhibition Hall showcases the urbanization and modernization of Shanghai. You will know more about Shanghai’s past and present by viewing the miniatures of the city, and rich materials about the city planning. Also, the high-tech methods are widely adopted to forecast the blueprint of Shanghai through 2020.

Next, have a relaxing time rambling in the beautiful Yu Garden.Located in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the most famous ancient site in this city for its ingenious layout and delicate architecture. The treasure of the garden, Yu Ling Long (an exquisite jade stone), an artificial hill, is considered as one of the three most well-known peaks in Southern China.

Then,visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, is outside the Yu Garden, in the heart of Old Shanghai City, and close to the Old City God Temple. There are many traditional Chinese buildings, which nowadays are used as commercial stores to sell local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques and so on.

Afterwards, go to the Shanghai World Financial Center and go up to the 100th floor for the panoramic views of the city. It is the world’s 8th tallest building, and the 4th tallest structure in Mainland China. The 100th floor has a viewing gallery that is 55 meters long. It is the second highest observation deck in China. It is higher than the viewing platforms on the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).

After that you will come to the Bund area which is the quintessential of Shanghai area. Located on the bank of Huangpu River, travelers come to the Bund not only for the charming riverside scenery, but the unique western and gothic architectures also deserve a look. We will set aside some free time for you to stroll around the Bund and take some photos.

Our guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at around 09:00 in the morning. You will be escorted to the well-known Zhujiajiao water town in around 60 minutes ride.

The Zhu Jia Jiao water town, is well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1,700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), the little fan-shaped town, being regarded as Shanghai’s Venice, glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains.
The three places in the water town deserve your visit: Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office and Fangsheng Bridge. Your tour guide will accompany you to visit these.

Kezhi Garden was built in 1912 and contains various pavilions and buildings, lotus pond, stele corridors, bridge of nine turnings and different kinds of plants. You can see the calligraphy inscription of the literati in Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644 AD) with high value of art in the stele corridor.

In Qing Dynasty Post Office, you can see the precious old postcard and letters in Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911 AD) and there is a post box with a carved dragon on it which is still in use today.

Fangsheng Bridge, built in Ming Dynasty, is the largest and longest stone arch bridge in Shanghai with five arches.

You will take a local featured wooden boat from Kezhi Garden and go ashore at North Street. The left time is for you to have a free visit to wander around the ancient streets.

After lunch,we will take you to the Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882 for the two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, the Jade Buddha Temple is a famous Buddhist shrine and an active Zen monastery. The temple plays an important role in disseminating Buddhism through cultural means, including lectures and library service, Buddhist academic publishes as well as regular Buddhist cultural activities.

Upon arrival at Yichang, you will be picked up on time and transferred to the Yichang Three gorges tourist center. Board the ship from 16:00 to 19:30 and departs Yichang at 21:30. The cruise ship company will arrange you to take a shuttle bus to the port for boarding the ship.

Day 4: Sailing & Shore Excursion at Three Gorges Dam. O/N Victoria Cruise boat.

Stop At: Three Gorges Dam Project, Sandouping Town, Yiling District, Yichang 443134 China
Your cruise journey commences this morning. Sailing along the eastern Xiling Gorge, you will first disembark and pay a visit to the magnificent Three Gorges Dam Site. You may climb on the Viewing Platform located on Tianzi Mountain and have a panoramic view of the dam. Then you will be back to the ship and the cruise continues sailing into the western Xiling Gorge. Passing through this gorge is a kind of adventure because it is known for numerous torrents and dangerous shoals, but you do not need to worry about. You may also see many cultural relics in this gorge, such as hanging coffins. The Captain’s Welcome Party will be held on board. You are invited to participate.

Day 5: Sailing through Three Gorges & Shore Excursion at Shennong Stream. O/N Victoria Cruise boat.

Sail through the Wu Gorge in the morning. Here, you will see twelve peaks standing in different postures and manners, among which the Goddess Peak in swirls of mist is the most charming and lively. After the excursion to the Shennong Stream the cruise will pass through the Qutang Gorge. It is the most dangerous and shortest of the Three Gorges on the river. Standing on the deck of the cruise ship, you will see the steep precipices standing on both banks of this narrow stretch of water.

According to the schedule of your cruise company, you will take a side excursion to the Shennong Stream, which is tributaries of the River. The highlight is that you will take a motorized ferry drifting along the stream, accompanied by the beautiful singings from the guide and boat trackers, who are all local Tujia minority people.

Today, you will disembark at Fengdu Xiaoguanshan Ancient Folk Culture Park and Mount Shuanggui for an excursion.
The Xiaoguanshan Ancient Folk Culture Park is a noted site for the relocation and reconstruction of architectural relics after the water rose on the Yangtze as a result of the Three Gorges Dam Project. It reproduces historic ancient residential buildings, courtyards, temples, wood carvings and city gates in the Fengdu region, providing a deep sense of its history and ancient way of life. Performances here include Sichuan opera, acrobatics, folk music, and puppet shows. Mt. Shuanggui is a national forest park known for its picturesque scenery, which integrates history, culture and modern art.
After that, you will be back to the ship and the cruise continues sailing to the destination Chongqing. Tonight, you will feast on a farewell party on the cruise. Please enjoy yourself thoroughly.

Day 7: Disembark the cruise in Chongqing. O/N Chongqing.

The cruise is scheduled to arrive in Chongqing at around 07:30 to 08:00 when your ship ride will end. Our guide will meet you on board and transfer you to Chongqing Wulong Karst and need 3hrs driving.

Wulong, featuring peculiar karst landforms, boasts of jaw-dropping stone bridges, caves, pits, eroded sinkholes and gorges.
Wulong becomes known to foreign tourists due to Michael Bay’s hit movie – Transformers: Age of Extinction, which directly shows the majesty beauty of the Three Natural Bridges in Wulong. Besides the famous movie-site, other interesting nature objects are also in this area, like Furong Cave, Longshuixia Gap and Fairy Mountain.

After a hearty lunch at a local restaurant, your splendid Chongqing Wulong karst tour begins with the Three Natural Bridges, the essential scenic feature of this world heritage area. Exquisitely sculptured by the hands of god, the three giant stone arch bridges are real wonders that can’t be seen anywhere else in the world. Inside the tranquil scenic area, you can embrace the rugged beauty of the mountain bridges and gorges by meandering along the narrow path on the valley’s bottom.

During the 2 – 2.5 hours visit, you will also stop by an ancient staging post near Qinglong Bridge, which was constructed during the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) for handling official business and receiving guests. The wooden-structured courtyards are still well preserved with more than 20 rooms remaining.

After some free time to wander around, your Wulong trip from Chongqing concludes. You will be transferred back to your hotel. Upon arrival at around 18:30.

Upon arrival at Xi’an, you will be picked up on time and transferred to the Terracotta Army and need 60 minutes driving.

Stop At: The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Qinling North Road, Lintong District, Xi’an 710600 China
We reserve tickets for you online in advance and your guide will help you skip the line at the entrance of the Museum. Following your guide, you will explore the Terracotta Warriors Museum by visiting the three excavated pits, as well as the Bronze Chariots and Horses Exhibition Hall. Although the clay warriors and horses have been buried for more than 2,200 years, they are still vivid with distinct appearances. You will spend at least two and a half hours to see this amazing site.

Instead of entering the temple to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, we will have a photo stop here for half an hour. With suggestions from our former guests, it is enough to see the pagoda and the statue of Monk Xuanzang at the south square outside the temple. As a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda built during the Tang Dynasty was once the site for Xuanzang to translate the Buddhist sutras.

Nowadays, it becomes a holding place for grand celebrations, military parades, and welcoming ceremonies for foreign leaders. Besides, visitors can admire the towering Monument to People’s Heroes and the solemn Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao on the square. Now it has developed into a large park where you can also see local people doing exercises and more recreational activities.

Next we will continue our visit to Beijing Hutong. There we will take a rickshaw to go through the old alleys and pay a visit to a Hutong family to see how the old Beijingers live. There are many popular restaurants, cafes and local food stores in the area, so we may have a lunch there. It should be a good chance to taste the local food there. Our guide will offer you suggestions. After lunch, you could stroll around Houhai Lake and explore more of the Hutong area.
