What makes Private Layover Tour of Shanghai City Highlights and Local Market with Pickup a unique experience ?

Your tour guide will meet you at exit of airport at 08:30 a.m. or your flight arrival time. Then, you will transfer to the Bund and start the wonderful Shanghai Private Tour.
The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. We will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel, Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. We will see Sculpture on the Bund, Monument to the People’s Heroes, Huangpu Park and Waibaidu Bridge. We also can appreciate high rises across the Huangpu River.

Then, we will transfer to Pudong New Area and enjoy panoramic views of Shanghai from Shanghai World Financial Center.

Standing in the center of Lujiazui in Pudong and neighboring Shanghai Tower and Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) is the second tallest skyscraper in the city up to now. From the exterior, the structure looks like a bottle opener and that’s exactly its nickname.
For tourists, it’s more of a hot attraction featuring the sightseeing observatories and the Park Hyatt Hotel.
Three observation decks offer different experiences at the 94th, 97th, and 100th floors. The 100th floor is the highest observatory in the world, with transparent glass-walled walkways.

Then, you will transfer to Yuyuan Old Street and enjoy a traditional Chinese dim sum – Xiaolongbao for lunch.

Shanghai Old Street, historically called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here. Visiting the old alleys of Shanghai is a great way to discover the traditional culture of this city and experience the real life of the Shanghainese.

Then, you will visit classic garden – Yu Garden.

Later, you will be shown around Yu Garden which was first built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty by Pan Yunduan as a comfort for his father, the minister Pan En, in his old age. Pan Yunduan began the project after failing one of the imperial exams, but his appointment as governor of Sichuan postponed construction for nearly twenty years until 1577.
Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The garden has six areas, each with its own style.

Then, we will transfer to South Bund Soft Spinning Material Market.

The famous Shanghai “Fabric Market” is home to hundreds of tailors and seamstresses, and is the city’s prime destination for bespoke clothing garments. Most people who come to Shanghai will recommend the South Bund Spinning Material Market as a must-visit place. There you can choose a variety of fabrics and then work with a tailor to customise the clothes you want.
Once you enter the market, you can see almost all the shops are using several languages to write their billboards as 80% of the customers are foreigners. “Tailor” is the most prominent feature, not only satisfying Chinese and foreigner’s requirement for tailored fit clothes, but also bringing them unique clothing characteristics.

The museum was transformed from the China Pavilion of the Expo 2010 Shanghai, an upside-down red pyramid. A visit is worth it just for the extravagant building and its vistas of the city. It is dedicated to demonstrate the masterpieces of a number of China’s modern and contemporary artists. Works on display span modern and contemporary periods, and there are numerous temporary exhibitions, including touring shows from abroad.
The stunning highlight of the museum is the multimedia replica of the famous painting ‘Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival’ one thousand years ago, which vividly shows the life of all social sectors at that time.
Then, we will continue to the site of the Shanghai Expo 2010, a park that offers a variety of exhibits about Chinese culture.

Afterwards, enjoy comfortable transfer back to airport to catch your flight or nearby hotel. Wrap your memories and say good-bye.
