1933 Shanghai—History,Architecture,Lifestyle.

In 1933,this construction was firstly commissioned by the Municipal Committee of Shanghai International Settlement and designed by a noted British architect. The construction of Shanghai slaughterhouse under Municipal Committee was officially completed by a well-known contractor of that time at Shajing Road,Hongkou District of Shanghai.According to historical records,this Slaughterhouse cost 3.3 million silver dollars on construction and equipment in which it applied concrete structure wholly imported from Britain,walls of 50cm in thickness ans double-layer hollow walls.
