Shanghai Old Street, historically called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here. Then, we will learn about the use of traditional Chinese Medicine at an ancient Chinese pharmacy
Yu Garden was a private garden of the Pan family in the Ming Dynasty. It was the largest and most prestigious of its era in Shanghai after it was completed.
Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The exquisite layout, beautiful scenery, and the artistic style of the garden architecture have made the garden one of the highlights of Shanghai.
You can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge. Chinese people believe that the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness. Walking across the Bridge is said to bring people good luck. The Bridge leads to Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, which is the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.

The museum was transformed from the China Pavilion of the Expo 2010 Shanghai, an upside-down red pyramid. A visit is worth it just for the extravagant building and its vistas of the city. It is dedicated to demonstrate the masterpieces of a number of China’s modern and contemporary artists. Works on display span modern and contemporary periods, and there are numerous temporary exhibitions, including touring shows from abroad.
The stunning highlight of the museum is the multimedia replica of the famous painting ‘Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival one thousand years ago, which vividly shows the life of all social sectors at that time.

Wukang Road is only 1.17 km long. There are 21 outstanding city-level historical buildings and 22 district-level cultural protection relics. Each house and its detail show its stories and history. All of the buildings on the road are in European style, and while walking on Wukang Road you’ll get the sense that you have arrived in Europe.
Wukang Building is the most famous building on Wukang Road. The building, shaped like a giant vessel, was the most famous English-styled building in Shanghai back in the 1930s. The Wukang Building was designed by Hudec, the well-know architect.
With a length of 2.3 kilometers (1.4 miles), Hengshan Road is a quiet and elegant passage between Xujiahui, the commercial center to the south, and Huaihai Road, the fashionable shopping street to the north in Shanghai Former French Concession. These two bustling areas were built by the French in the 1920s. Hengshan Road is lined with leafy trees and European-style constructions. Currently, many of its buildings are used as bars, making Hengshan Road a famous bar street. It is popular among overseas tourists and expats as it is close to the embassy area.
The former residence of Song Qingling, located at No. 1843, Huaihai Middle Road, Shanghai, is an important place for the great man Song Qingling to live and engage in state affairs for a long time. From 1948 to 1963, Song Qingling worked and lived here for 15 years. It is a small house with red tiles and white walls. The house was originally a German private villa.
