Itinerary
Day 1: Hotel Pickup, Terracotta Army, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall & Muslim Bazaar
Stop At: The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Qinling North Road, Lintong District, Xi’an 710600 China
In the morning, your professional guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby, and then a comfortable and capacious chauffeur-driven van will transfer you to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum.
One hour’s drive will take you to the magnificent Terracotta Army Museum. It is crowned as “the eighth wonder of the world”, and a symbol of the splendid civilization of ancient China. With your guide’s vivid narration, this would be an exceptional experience taking you back to the Qin Dynasty 220BC. You will spend 2.5 to 3 hours exploring the museum, which is a longer time than any other tour groups.

Drive you back to the downtown and the tour continues with a visit to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The quiet environment and ancient pagoda will bring you peace of mind. Proceed to Xian Museum in the southwest of the temple to learn more about this historic city.

Stop At: Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang), Zhongxin District, Xi’an 710001 China
Later your guide will take you to the ancient City Wall. With a history of over 600 years, it is the most complete city wall that has survived in China. Take a leisurely walk on the wall to feel how the past meets present at this vibrant city with splendid culture. If you are skillful in bicycle riding, you may rent a bike to ride on the wall. It should be an exciting and memorable experience.The bike rental fee is at your own expense.

The last stop will be the Muslim Bazaar, the most thriving area of the city. If you are interested, you can explore the bazaar at your own pace and then return to the hotel on your own. Your guide will give you directions for returning to your hotel. The Great Mosque and the Bell and Drum Tower Square are within walking distance of the Bazaar. The Bazaar offers a number of excellent choices for dinner.
If you prefer not to go to the Muslim Bazaar, your guide will take you back to the hotel after dropping the others off at the Bazaar.

Day 2: Hanyangling Mausoleum, Great Mosque, Shaanxi History Museum, South Square of Big Goose Pagoda
Stop At: Tomb of Emperor Jingdi (Hanyangling), Zhanjiawan Village, Xi’an China
Today your guide and driver will drive you for an hour to visit the Hanyangling Mausoleum (Tomb of Emperor Jingdi) first. Actually this is an on the site museum and another highlight of Xi’an. In the company of your guide, you will walk on glass over top of the original excavating site to see the mini terracotta warriors and animal statues which may give you an intriguing perspective. Go through the exhibition hall, and listen carefully to your expert guide’s explanation of the lifestyle, custom and culture of Chinese ancient people in Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-24AD).

Stop At: Xi’an Mosque, Huajue Alley, Xincheng District, Xi’an 710043 China
Then, drive to the Great Mosque in the core area of Xi’an City. The mosque’s location at the Muslim Quarter is very convenient, with many souvenir stores and local food restaurants. You can have your lunch here with your guide’s suggestions.
After that, your guide will escort you to visit the Great Mosque, which was first built in 742AD during the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the oldest, largest and most well-preserved Islamic mosques in China.

In the afternoon, you will spend time at Shaanxi History Museum. It is the first large-scale modern national museum in China, famed as the pearl of the ancient capital Xi’an and the treasure house of China.

Stop At: Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta), Enci Temple The southern part of Yata Road, Yanta District, Xi’an 710061 China
At last, your guide and driver will take you to the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Instead of entering the temple to visit the Pagoda, you will have a photo stop here for half an hour. With suggestions from the former guests, it is enough to see the pagoda and the statue of Monk Xuanzang at the south square outside the temple. As a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda built during the Tang Dynasty was once the site for Xuanzang to translate the Buddhist sutras.
Around the pagoda, there is the Great Tang All Day Mall, where you can appreciate many unique sculptures of Tang Dynasty styles and enjoy some classical music performances in public; also there is north square with the biggest musical fountain in Asia. It is free but with show time schedules. If you are interested, you may take a leisurely stroll here at night and then return to the hotel by yourself. Your guide will show you directions back. If you prefer not to stay longer, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
